phases in shades of pink...

Life is complicated. It not only comes in various colors but in various shades of each color. Black and white appear at opposite extremes of the spectrum and in between are all the different shades of colors. Thus, hot pink would be funky, lively and energetic while a rose white would symbolize a more serene, peaceful and pure environment. My life therefore, is colored in shades of pink.

Darkness=Evil? Light=Good?

Darkness is the absence of Light.

Can we say that Evil is the absence of Good?

Its possible, although depends on many variables. As you conclude like an equation which although makes good sense, has a overlooked flaw imbedded within.

In reverance and fear to Good, Evil could grow. Although nevertheless the staying power of Good to curb Evil is undebatable, It also works as a catalyst, for Evil will ever despise Good and match its might with it, as Good grows Evil will too find ways to prosper for only then Its might will suffice to match Good.

Its a cycle, although If there is no light then there's only the dark, and it'll only grow thicker in the slow time of ages, so the absence and presence of light and Good works both ways towards the growth darkness and Evil.

A little thought, thats all..

Hey,
Thanks for your thoughts...but i was wondering...is the title of my post really valid? Does darkness really equal evil and light equal good? Can we actually compare both of these at the same level? Or are they two separate things that shouldn't be compared?

Anyway, i hope to hear more thoughts on this, so do write...err...type.

well perhaps its true...but I would again say, not upon all levels..

For you see, too brilliant a light can be blinding and a subtle darkness can be enlightening by exuding the unnoticed. But its an assumption made widely by many that light weilds and good and darkness yeilds evil. Thus white is revered and black is feared.

We cant boldly assume that light and darkness have a fixed referance but nevertheless it remains as the social norm.

Hmmm.I dropped in again to view what you're doing.
I should agree to disagree that badness is the absence of good...perhaps boredom too is the absence of fun..hahaha

Boredom can't be the absense of fun because if you're not having fun it doesn't necessarily mean you are bored. Hmmm...don't know if you were serious about that one though. Anyway, if you do face the problem of boredom...well, let's just say that's a good reason to keep checking out my blog.

About evil being the absense of good...i think it's still debateable. Do keep posting your thoughts...
